If Donald Trump's goal is to differentiate himself from those jelly-kneed Republican candidates too timid to ask even the most basic questions about President Barack Obama's origins, he is doing a bang-up job of it.

Wednesday morning on The View, Trump refused to buckle under the hectoring protests of the View panelists and even Whoopi Goldberg's shameless race baiting. "I want [Obama] to show his birth certificate!" said Trump defiantly, adding with a knowing edge, "There's something on that birth certificate that he doesn't like."
Here, Trump made precisely the right point. It is not that Obama was born in Kenya, but rather that there may very well be something on that certificate that does not square with the official Obama origins story, the one on which Obama based his political ascendancy.
In researching my book Deconstructing Obama, I found much that did match the accepted nativity story, most dramatically the fact that the storied Obama family never lived together. Indeed, there never was an Obama family save in the pages of Obama's often apocryphal memoir, Dreams from My Father.
When asked whether he could defeat Obama in 2012, Trump answered, "I think if I run and win and get the nomination, I definitely think I could beat Obama." If he sticks to his guns, he just might.

I would actually vote for Trump simply because he had the guts to raise this issue.

My birth father left my mother when I was 3... my mother remarried... 10 years later I was "adopted" by my step father. We went through an adoption process in court and my birth CERTIFICATE was amended to remove my birth father and has my step father as my ORIGINAL birth father! It is as if my birth father never existed.
BO may have the exact same situation with his birth certificate.

Kudos for being the first to report on Barry’s early Indonesian years. But what exactly would be the motivation for spending great gobs of money on hiding the fact that his original BC was modified to make Soetoro his father?
Presumably, the available documentation contained in Hawaii would demonstrate that Senior was his real father, which is all that Obama has ever claimed. That is, in your version of events, there should be a sealed original BC (presumably viewable only under court order or if the individual named on the BC authorizes its release), along with a modified BC which in turn should have some sort of indication that it is an amended BC.
What interest is served by keeping all this hidden? Barry’s own account already has revealed his mom as a knocked-up out-of-wedlock teen whose 2 marriages failed and who essentially abandoned her only son into the the care of her parents so that she could pursue her career interests. In the context of that already extraordinarily unflattering portrait, why would Barry take such pains to hide the fact that she and Lolo evidently played a little fast and loose with Barry’s birth records? To spare her reputation? It makes no sense.
When you are adopted you have to change the original record. There is only one original record - Hawaii.

Does the amended BC have no indication that it is amended? Is your original BC not under seal that could be broken by a judge if extraordinary circumstances warranted it? I’m pretty sure Hawaiian rules require any amendments to original BCs to be noted at the bottom of the BC. That is, the details may well be under seal, but the fact of its being amended must be visibly recorded on the newly issued BC.
There is NO indication. In fact it states that it is certified to be a true and correct copy of the record of birth as made from the ORIGINAL certificate of birth for the child named therein . .
I do not know what a court order could do. But I do know that it offers no indication of an adoption whatsoever.

Indonesia does not allow DUAL CITIZENSHIP... In order for little Barry to attend school in Indonesia he should have been a citizen of that country... If Soetoro did "adopt" little Barry to gain Indonesian citizenship... when did he become an UnIndonesian, and where is the paper trail?
I can Personally attest to the fact that if your Mother Has You Illegitimately and Her Husband ,Not The Father,Agrees to have His Name Put on the Birth Certificate to save the Mother the Shame or Himself,then whos to Know.
That is In fact My story, That I did Not Learn until I was in My Thirties. I am 61 now and Have just told My children that the Name they Have is the One I was Given but my real Birth Fathers Name was Italian Not Polish.
So Obama Did Not have to Go through any Machinations to Get a Name on His Real Birth Certificate that his Mother Wanted,all she needed was the cooperation of the People Involved,I can attest to that Personally,I am Living proof. Unless these young stars run for POTUS, their eligibility is irrelevant & has ZERO effect on them. If they do run, despite ineligibility, then PUBS are just as corrupt as RATS. If Pubs are gonna follow the lead of Rats, then we don't need Pubs anymore.
If Rubio or Jindal are ineligible for POTUS, as conservatives & patriots, I expect them to say so, rather than try to fool the American people. Perhaps this is why Rubio "has shown no interest thus far".
