They do need congressional approval for this. Like it or hate it, they SHOULD HAVE GOT congressional approval.

To not do so is extremely provocative.

I think the administration position is that since the UN approved this action, it’s all good as far as approvals and legalities are concerned.

Congressional approval is for declaration of war. War is not going to be declared. War was never declared for iraq, aghanistan, vietnem, or korea, or any of the other little skirmishes in the last 50 years.

The only thing that makes the No Fly Zone sorta’-legal is that it was initiated by the UN. Since the UN already controls many aspects of our Country, our joining in with the NFZ is just one more step down the proverbial Primrose Path to surrendering our sovereignty. Boy, do we EVER need Sarah Palin at the helm!
