I believe that $80M was a series of anonymous gifts from one source given to the colleges with female presidents, and the NPRite was relating her experience from having worked for one of the recipient colleges. That’s how I understood it, anyway.
I worked in the non-profit world for a few years and these people make me ill. they did back then too.

I quit listening decades ago when their promotion of lesbianism and homosexuality was so glowingly positive it made me vomit. This was meant for young adults and teenagers. I once worked at a large northeast university that hosted an NPR station. I suspect a LOT of that $80 million is “in kind”. The one I worked at provided a building, power, water, parking, payroll and personnel management.
