I love the fenders. Bikes today don’t have fenders. When I was a youngster all regular bikes came with fenders. But if you ride a bike today you end up with a dirty line up your back where the tire throws the rain and dirt from the road.

Fender:
late 13cent., shortening of “defender”.
Used of attachments to boats at first, of fireplaces since 1680s; application to automobiles is 1919.
