Then you too sir, would be forever labeled a QUITTER! I can't believe these so called conservatives defending Palin's SURRENDER. As a retired veteran I will never support a candidate for president who did not have the guts to fulfill their oath of office. If elected how could she order good men and women into battle knowing that when the going got tough for her, she QUIT! Quitting on your state, country and fellow servicemen will always be looked at as a bad thing to this veteran--no matter how you cheerleaders spin it.
I've been in the military too, and I wouldn't have had much respect for a commanding officer who'd expect his troops to remain in an impossible-to-win situation; that to him, switching to a more advantageous position would be considered a surrender.
If Sarah Palin was a quitter and surrendered, she would have gone back to Wasilla to live out the rest of her days in quiet obscurity. But she didn't do that. Instead, she seems to be attacking from a different position that's given her the advantage. So I suggest you cut her some slack.

Spoken like a true liberal. Quit my ass, she is in the fight.
Hey, PDS twit...for someone who "SURRENDERED" she sure took a lot of lib scalps in the 2010 elections.
You may well be a “salt of the earth” American, I have no doubt, but the old line, “Know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em” rings true to me. The leftist garbage thought that they had Sarah checkmated, but she escaped. She lived to fight another day, in my judgment. Hanging on to her governorship at all costs would have been foolhardy. I respect your disagreement. Bob
