On the very remote chance anyone cares, this is what happened to DU yesterday: Basically their domain registrar cut them off, because of a simple mix up, really. The error has been corrected, but it could easily take up to 72 hours to propagate throughout the DNS network.

You can read about it yourself if you like. You can bypass the DNS problem and hit their homepage directly by using the IP address, like this:

http://216.158.28.197/

Then navigate down a bit, and you'll see a link where their admin guy explains it.

I'm kind of embarassed to admit I spent time tracking this down. I guess I love a good puzzle more than I detest those yahoos at du.

I used the IP and read the post explaining how it happened.
