Someone educate me. I find that I always save more by using store brands than using coupons. Am I doing it wrong? Honest question. I also go to Dollar Store for many groceries and save even more there than I would using coupons.

A friend of mine in North Carolina posted on her facebook page a reciept from her latest shopping excursion. She bought 113 items from her grocery store. She used 90 coupons. She paid $18.88. Yes, she got back $1.12 from the twenty she paid. (All on the reciept). According to the last line on the receipt, she saved $325.00 in coupons.

Couponing for those who take it seriously is big money.

I’m not the world’s greatest couponer, but I’m ok. I recently got at least 10 brand name packages of TP at 60% off. They were regularly $9.99, on sale for 6.99. By using my store card, they came down to 5.99. There were coupons hanging in front of the display for $1 off each package. Then when I went through the checkout, I was surprised to get $2 coupons for each 2 packages I bought.
