I clicked the link just to give them the hit because of your comment. You call it pimping. without the person taking the time and effort to write and post the picks on his/her blog Free republic would not have the material. It is called a symbiotic relationship. Free republic offers people like this blogger a wider audience and in return free republic gets a wider range of content. you seem to want everything for free. No clicks to other blogs and sites from free republic less ad rev for bloggers less bloggers and less content. You view on this is almost socialist in its nature.

What you explain is over their head.

I do both. It depends if the excerpt can get the feel of the message. If it can I'll excerpt. If the excerpt loses the point the blogger is trying to make I'll post the whole post and ask them to click the link. Some blog posts are so small you can not really excerpt it. Some are too long to post the whole thing etc . but the reality doesn't change without hits blogs go under. No blogs and we get far fewer choices on content....

I see no harm here. I got to watch Sarah because of his thread (it was way past my bedtime when she came on last night). I looked for it this morning, but could not find it.

I wrote It is called a symbiotic relationshipor a Mutualistic Relationships A mutualistic relationship is when two organisms of different species "work together," each benefiting from the relationship which is pretty much what Jim was saying. Jim takes it one step further and I agree with him on this as well that when the relationship becomes parasitic with the blog simply feeding off of free republic they can go fly a kite. The poster I was replying too has a habit of assuming that all blogs are parasites and only looking for blog hits. which is not the case.
