Sure it would be ridiculous for me, but it wouldn't stop you from attempting it. Just like you're doing with this Nixon thing. So, on this topic I am going to follow my own advice and stop feeding the troll.

That’s the pot calling the kettle black. You may eventually realize I actually agree with the larger point made in the original post, and that the quibble over the character of his leaving office was an honest one on my part. You may realize that I object to saying Nixon was thrown out for the same reason I object to saying the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1777. That is, not because I cynically wish to subvert the larger argument of one who might mistake 1777 for 1776, but for its own sake.
Or maybe you already realize this and won’t let yourself admit it or even slink away.
