I’m still laughing. I think Sarah’s List merits a wonderful laugh. Track served his country and wants to learn and eventually take over the family’s fishing business! Sheeesh.
Willow is still in high school. Piper is how old, nine?
Bristol is a young mother of twenty, who’s just managed to earn good money on DWTS!
Bristol probably made more off “Dancing with the Stars” than this professor made for half her career. So much for the “value” of education...
I think she meant the value of indoctrination...
8^D
Some say that Bonnie Fuller is a non-discriminating slut...
Change that to the value of indoctrination.
Amongst other things....
This woman is crazy-—both Bristol and Track are adults and make their own decisions.
They are jealous and scared to death that Sarah can beat their beloved false prophet Obama. If they didn’t think that they wouldn’t give a damn what she says or what she does. If Sarah were a big Government progressive lib, the left would have built a statue for her in the town square
Someone get this...{meow} a saucer of milk.
ExACTLY!....I was a young mother (married, but very young) with a young son....and I worked, and then when he was about 6 I went back to college (after divorce). These people really are elitists.
Another hit piece against a first class All-American family!
Disgusting.
Bristol is 18+ years old, right? In that case, Sarah has absolutely no say in whether or not she decides to attend college. That is HER choice.
Funny, these liberal beeyotches are “pro-choice” as long as that choice involves killing an unborn child, but when the choice is whether to attend a leftist indoctrination center (AKA college), they don’t think that someone of legal adult age is capable of making that decision.
Bristol is of adult age - she is not her parent’s responsibility any more.
AND..furthermore...I went back to college WHILE working at a NON-ELItiST college that didn’t require all sorts of liberal cr*p.
Dang - I only made it to 3.
Have all the Palin kids go to Hillsdale College, then see how much the left screams.
I have heard this a lot on talk radio in my city lately. Some caller calls in and says they are against the “academic elite” to which the host will go on about how he respects people who go to college and have high degrees. I think most people in the middle or on the left misunderstand. When Sarah or anyone else says something like this we are not saying we are against education or high degrees. What is ment is we are against people saying “I have a PHD in Human Devolopment so sit down, shut up and listen to me.” Thats the elite part. I have a degree and what it taught me most that I dont really know much and that I should at least listen to others.
This goes with all the lefties who work for Obama. They just cant believe people dont agree with them. They say “well we must not be explaining so lower education people can understand it.” They really have no concept that one, they can be wrong and two that people with lesser degrees of education could be right.
Philosopher Kings, that is what they believe they are.
You know this author has a good point. For example, I've NEVER heard Sarah Palin mention the value of a reasonably priced, quality muffler.
Why is Sarah Palin so anti-muffler?
“Then once she had baby Tripp, now 2, she sadly resigned herself to possibly going to a community college to study real estate instead.”
In other words, Bristol should have had an abortion so she could go after her dream of being a doctor.
If you want to go study something in the social sciences, or liberal arts, languages, theater, PLEASE, go study it and have a great time for 4 years. Especially if you can afford it. But there will be no job waiting for you afterward, so make sure you took no loans to get there.
She is dreaming here: I have nothing against fishing as a career, but whats wrong with a college degree and then fishing. At least hell be equipped to transition to another career should salmon fishing go bust.
Salmon fishing is the family business, where he will find doors open for him, connections made. A bachelor's degree provides none of that (outside of hard sciences).
If you Sarah arent promoting the value of a college education to your own children, you are denying them HUGE opportunities beyond going camping in the wilds of Alaska or dancing their way into our hearts for a reality show season.
Ask graduates what huge opportunities await them in the job market. Please. While it is true that some employers will not consider some applicants without a college education, they do not care what was studied or learned. The bachelor's degree has become the last four years of high school as some kind of for-its-own-sake requirement. Like a broomstick from the wicked witch. You just have to HAVE it. It's not meaningful.
But if its not, then Sarah Palin Why dont you give Bristol an opportunity to have a bigger and more long-term future than just being a reality star?
What if Bristol doesn't want or need to go to college? It is foolish to think that colleges churn out young people with more knowledge and wisdom than their less-educated peers. That has not been true for decades.
