Ellison is covering for the terrorists: he, like many other American Muslims, wants to make their job easier. His constituents, largely Somali_”Americans”, have travelled abroad in their hundreds to receive terror training. An alert FBI has uncovered some. But Minneapolis’s Somalis have been very grudging in cooperating with authorities. Most of their time and energy is spent lobbying for special privileges. King's hearings will unmask that reality. So Ellison's reaction is,if despicable, understandable.
