Hard for me to get into politics today. Here is what happened. Last night, because of a lingering cold, I popped a couple of Advil PM. Hit the sack and went into a DEEEEEP sleep. Anyway, I had the best dream of my life. Such a great dream that when I woke up I told my wife it was the best dream of my life. I dreamt I was on a small sailboat with a couple of friends in the tropics. Surrounding us were dozens of other small sailboats. We were sailing in the middle of dozens of small islands. The water was the most clear blue you can imagine...and you could imagine it if you had seen the water surrounding Culebra.

So why did I have such a good dream? Because I was in a great mood. And why was I in a great mood? Because, due to Walgreens Super Jingle Cash awards I was getting PAID to buy stuff cheap. Typically yesterday I spent only about 67 cents per transaction to get like $25 to $40 worth of stuff and I was earning $5 in Super Jingles Cash and, often, another $5 Jingle Cash for buying Hallmark cards that cost me nothing since I was using Register Rewards to buy them. Anyway, at the end of the day, I bought about $600 worth of stuff for less than $20 out of pocket PLUS I earned another $80 worth of Jingle Cash.

Sooooooo.... In a great frame of mind I split out early this morning to do the same routine. Hit the first Walgreens, spent a few cents after handing in my coupons, then waited for my Super Jingles Cash then....NOTHING!!!

I thought it was an error in their machine but tried the same routine at a couple of more Walgreens. Same thing. NO Super Jingle Cash. I was told that the rules have been changed so that you can't earn the SJC until you spend a minimum of $25 in cash which was different than the rule just a day earlier when it was you spend $25 BEFORE coupons.

I checked the coupon forums and other folks were in an uproar. They couldn't believe that Walgreens went back on their PROMISED deal. And now I'm ANGRY. I plan to write an article on this situation. A STUPID move on the part of Walgreens. Okay maybe it wasn't working out for them as planned but once you make a PROMISE on a deal you are morally obligated to stick with it. And this promise still had another week to run.

Okay, sorry for the vent but this has me really upset. ....So what is happening in the world lately outside the coupon deals?

I guess you're just going to have to vote with your coupons.
