I think WHI’s opening lines (note “scandal(s)” plural used by WHI) supports your Beckel hypothesis. WHI says Doug Schoen involvement “is clear signal that Hillary camp fully engaged” meaning that he, WHI, is not actually in that camp himself although he is yearning for Hillary to save Democrats from Obama. That sounds like Beckel.

Sounds like the Ragin’ “People are dyin’ down here” Cajun and Begala put Schoen and Caddell up to this “in your face” invitation for Obama to pull an LBJ and bow out as this would be golden for Hillary and Bill for 2012.
