I’m not far off the I-94 corridor (about 10 miles) but hardly anyone knows my little town is here. Tiny little towns like this are a great place to be in the event of trouble.
I hadn’t really thought about it before but I think running out and removing all the road signs might not be a bad idea in the event of a real collapse.

My SO worked for 35 yr in a small town just sw of you. She didn't know there was a town (w/ a PO!) named the same as the township. While following the river using web aerial photography, I found the town and then drove her through there a couple of years ago.
So, I'd guess that it is off the corridor in practice. All you'd have to do is take down a couple of signs and put a chain across the river.

Turn around and go back to Toledo." Does your tiny town have any good stores? Mine doesn't have much.

running out and removing all the road signs might not be a bad idea in the event of a real collapse. That makes perfect sense. Not just nearby but as many as possible within a village or small community.
