My kids go to school in the Central Bucks district - the school where Palin is speaking is nearby and most of its students would be in our schools - and they have not allowed kids to bring in sweets for birthday parties since we moved here in 2004. Biggest problem is food allergies which are much more common than they used to be. And frankly I do not miss having to make 27 cupcakes or 5 dozen cookies!
