The GOP must realize that it’s over in California. They can’t win important state wide races there. The exodus of white conservatives from the state, plus the continuing influx of pro-Democrat immigrants (Hispanic and Asian) has doomed that state to permanent rule by the Democrats.
I agree about California and this is the only part of the “analysis” in this article that is valid in my eyes. The money spent on Fiorina could have been spent elsewhere where it might have made more of a difference. That being said, the duo of Sharron Angle and Ken Buck both lost winnable races because they were bad candidates. Period. Each of them made an array of gaffes, unforced errors, and questionable decisions. Their opponents were able to use these mistakes to turn the races into a choice instead of what it should have been, namely a referendum on Obama and how the Dems had been operating in Washington.
