They should’ve had some political experience first. Get elected to House or state legislature before running state-wide.
The GOP must realize that it’s over in California. They can’t win important state wide races there. The exodus of white conservatives from the state, plus the continuing influx of pro-Democrat immigrants (Hispanic and Asian) has doomed that state to permanent rule by the Democrats.
Amen to that!
GOP only helps those who help themselves. If Christine won, she would have been a national laughingstock for the next 2 years.
So how would you like to explain Fiorina/Whitman’s loss in California? They both spent millions of their own money and had NRSC backing. And just to sweeten it, they are both RINO’s and most likely would not change things much in that state but at least it would let the other politicians know their days are numbered.
I agree about California and this is the only part of the “analysis” in this article that is valid in my eyes. The money spent on Fiorina could have been spent elsewhere where it might have made more of a difference. That being said, the duo of Sharron Angle and Ken Buck both lost winnable races because they were bad candidates. Period. Each of them made an array of gaffes, unforced errors, and questionable decisions. Their opponents were able to use these mistakes to turn the races into a choice instead of what it should have been, namely a referendum on Obama and how the Dems had been operating in Washington.
We’re not discussing Rossi, who it sounds like came within a knife edge and the money would have made a difference.
Which is why I loathe them all the more. Miller would have won this election if the NRSC had stood behind him all the way. Instead they were more interested in keeping one of "their own" in power. Joe would not have gone along to get along and that just wouldn't do. So now we have a RINO going back to congress with debts to be paid to the democrats and unions who helped her defeat a true conservative. Boy I do despise them.

Nothing against Carly Fiorina, who seemed to be the best we could get from California. It just appears that California is becoming a one-party state. With the possible exception of state AG, Democrats won every statewide race and even gained a little in the state legislature.
I supported Sharron Angle in the primary. She made avoidable gaffes which are well-known, but visibly improved late in the campaign. There is no reason to think that Sue Lowden would have done any better. Remember Lowden’s “chickens for check-ups” gaffe? IMHO, dirty tricks put Harry Reid over the top.
Ken Buck’s loss surprised me. I liked his brave support for border security and I wish he had plugged it more in the general election. He certainly made mistakes, but there is no such thing as a perfect candidate. In a race that close, anything can be said to have made the difference.
As for Christine O’Donnell, the facts speak for themselves.
