Bears are not an issue around here. Skunks are common, but not in the middle of the subdivision, where we live. I suspect he found some food somewhere and got confused about where he lives. Maybe he’ll turn up later.

Jake met Confusor Bunny who promptly hopped onto poor Jakes noggin, thus giving Jake a case of Bunny on the Head.
Jake likely is in the midst of trying to rebuild memory.

I hope it goes fairly quickly. It’s going to be cold tonight, and we have some $ invested in that kitteh.

On the other hand, Shannon has had a lovely day with nobody beating her up ...

I’ll try to get some pictures up later. I don’t know if any are any good, because I couldn’t see the view very well in the bright sun ... just vague shapes.

Chased up a tree by an insane squirrel?

I don’t think any local squirrels would take on Jake. He’s a big kitteh.

Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly, so they lit a fire in the craft.
Unsurprisingly it sank, proving once again that you can't have your kayak and heat it too.

Squirrels are squirrely that’s why they call them squirrels.

Keep your head warm and your body will follow. Mystery fabric uses 1 mm neoprene with a GlideSkin™ exterior, eliminating the chilling effect of moisture evaporation. TiCoat™ insulation holds your body's heat where it belongs: next to your head. This middle membrane contains millions of titanium particles, reflecting your body heat back to you. A soft ThermalPlush™ fleece inner liner cushions the head for all-day comfort, and minimizes water absorption. The Storm Hood covers your head, ears, and neck, maximizing warmth in any conditions. Over 80% of body heat is lost through the head, so cover up where it matters most.

should have gotten some of these.

Jake is back. He must have heard us calling, “Cat food! Bacon! Blankets!” I just stepped out the front door, and he stepped out of the flower beds and said, “Yeow!” which I think means, “Well, where’s the bacon, already?”

Then he ate the food that was left in the bowl. Poor Shannon had enjoyed her day without him ...

Megamind 3D. I found it surprisingly funny -- and perhaps with a few jabs at the libs. The "No You Can't" poster was a hoot, and how "Metro Man" winds up a big laugh.

I think it was the best job at 3D animation I've seen yet. They didn't overdo it, but it was effective in a number of scenes.

And yah, as LoM pointed out the average (I'd say median) age in the theater was probably only 10 but that didn't detract one bit. I don't usually care much for the humor in American flicks, but this was worth it. Especially on a gloomy Seattle autumn day.

No, I meant the show. If I miss getting underway I’m pretty much screwed. There’s more subsantial rumors regarding whether we’ll get out of drydock or what.
The book takes a while to get to the killing people. They have to go over why Alatriste is in Africa and all that. It doesn’t have Malatesta in it, though. Too bad.

Oh, the show. Didn’t you see them last fall in Seattle?

I still haven’t figured out the point of the book, although the cruise of the Med is fairly interesting on its own. I suppose they’ll go to Mexico in the next book, since Angelica and her uncle were exiled.

29 this morning, outside, and about 55 upstairs. The petz are annoyed.

Good morning! I’m glad Jake returned home after his day on the town.
