They used to pipe that same radio station in to every cell at Gitmo; but the CIA director was visiting and overheard the Helen Thomas interview. He decided it amounted to torture, and ordered that the station be changed to one which plays all-Barry Manilow, all-the-time.
Nonsense. Heck, *I* criticize Israel sometimes. American criticism of Israel policy is to be found all over the place, and some of it is even legitimate!
What Helen Thomas did was display overt racism by slandering Jews in general, and insensitively telling them to "go back" to countries like Germany, where murderous genocide was perpetrated upon Jews by any reasonable standard.
A more perfect example of blind hatred cannot be presented. No nuance or subtlety did Helen Thomas exhibit: just raw, open Malice...
