Hunger is the best sauce.

Besides, food storage such as this is more supplemental than all encompassing, add meat (fish, deer, rabbit) and herbs (taragon, basil, oregano).

Real trick is having recipes ready that will cook the food in the opened cans without wasting any of it.

I used to drive my kids nuts with an old Chinese proverb when they said they didn't like the taste of the food we fed them: "Hunger is the best sauce".

A good one to remember as you contemplate a can of Alpo after TSHTF.
