You clearly have a huge number of filters up if that is your response to my comment. There is no reaching a person like you, even though I have said I agree with you in terms of islam being far more dangerous to physical life (which I am assuming that’s what you meant by ‘dangerous’) than Mormonism.
Just focus on what bothers you and jump right over that. You’re just going to isolate yourself from people all by yourself.
Besides this wasn’t really even a larger question of Mormonism itself until you made it that way by focusing the issue onto it. I was making my comments in context of Beck, IMO and many others, being wrong about this issue and just having the ability to say so.
And I don’t even agree with your premise that diagreeing with Beck, that that is automatically a negative thing. Why is it inherently negative to say you disagree with someone about an issue just because they have an (R) or are generally a conservative person? I’m not going to war with the guy, I’m saying I don’t think he’s right on a particular issue. Lots of others think he’s wrong on this and that doesn;t mean we don’t support him on most other things.
Would this also mean I couldn’t say I disagree with McCain about the border and amnesty issues because he’s a Republican and I am too? I have to shut up and stay silent while he’s wrong about that and a bunch of other issues? Silence comes across to others as silent approval/agreement. I do not want others saying “You agree with X on Y - you didn’t say anything at that time.” Try to explain “Well I just stayed silent for party unity, or not to harm X’s reputation by disagreeing with him”. What kind of a wuss would you look like if you can’t even man up and say “I like X and X is usually right on, but on this issue we differ.” That’s not destroying the person, that’s just being honest.
Forget the fact I think Beck is right on most things. Just focus on the one thing that bugs you.
Just for clarity, do you happen to be Mormon? Or is this “never say anything bad about our ‘leaders’” because they have to always appear to have 100% backing by the rest of us, just your own personal philosophy? You can speak your mind without having people say you destroyed a fellow conservative or damaged their reputation. disagreement is a fact of life, it cannot be avoided as no two people agree 100% about everything. Our ‘leaders’ better not be paper tigers, they have to be able to handle people saying “I agree most of the time with him but on this topic he’s way wrong.”
We hear that kind of statement all the time from Rush’s callers. “I agree with you Rush, almost all the time, but on this, I think you’re wrong...”
I don’t always agree with Rush on everything. I can’t say that either without somehow damaging Rush? Rush can’t take me saying I can’t agree with him on everything? Levin? Coulter? Beck? Hannity?

I believe that you believe that, but that does not make it gospel. Just your interpretation of the bible.. That isn't true at all, I'm not aware of any Christian denomination that doesn't share that interpretation of the bible.

Many find Jesus in a round about way...Most don't have a straight shot from birth to eternity without sin. As far as I know only 1 man did. The rest should be very careful in judging the state of another's soul and heart....
That is God's job and only His job....all else is gossip at best and calumny at worse

This beating the drum of Mormon hatred is just the tired old religious bigotry that has gone on against Mormons for decades. Give me a break!Yup;I HATE when that happens, too!
JOSEPH SMITHHISTORY
EXTRACTS FROM THE HISTORY OF JOSEPH SMITH, THE PROPHET
History of the Church, Vol. 1, Chapter 1
An unusual excitement about religion prevails in western New YorkHe determines to seek wisdom as directed by JamesThe Father and the Son appear and Joseph is called to his prophetic ministry. (Verses 7-20.)
7 I was at this time in my fifteenth year. My fathers family was proselyted to the Presbyterian faith, and four of them joined that church, namely, my mother, Lucy; my brothers Hyrum and Samuel Harrison; and my sister Sophronia.
8 During this time of great excitement my mind was called up to serious reflection and great uneasiness; but though my feelings were deep and often poignant, still I kept myself aloof from all these parties, though I attended their several meetings as often as occasion would permit. In process of time my mind became somewhat partial to the Methodist sect, and I felt some desire to be united with them; but so great were the confusion and
astrife among the different denominations, that it was impossible for a person young as I was, and so unacquainted with men and things, to come to any certain conclusion who was
bright and who was wrong.
9 My mind at times was greatly excited, the cry and tumult were so great and incessant. The Presbyterians were most decided against the Baptists and Methodists, and used all the powers of both reason and sophistry to prove their errors, or, at least, to make the people think they were in error. On the other hand, the Baptists and Methodists in their turn were equally zealous in endeavoring to establish their own tenets and disprove all others.
10 In the midst of this war of words and tumult of opinions, I often said to myself: What is to be done? Who of all these parties are right; or, are they all wrong together? If any one of them be
aright, which is it, and how shall I know it?
11 While I was laboring under the extreme difficulties caused by the contests of these parties of religionists, I was one day reading the Epistle of
aJames, first chapter and fifth verse, which reads:
If any of you lack bwisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
12 Never did any passage of
ascripture come with more power to the heart of man than this did at this time to mine. It seemed to enter with great force into every feeling of my heart. I reflected on it again and again, knowing that if any person needed
bwisdom from God, I did; for how to act I did not know, and unless I could get more wisdom than I then had, I would never know; for the teachers of religion of the different sects
cunderstood the same passages of scripture so differently as to destroy all confidence in settling the question by an appeal to the Bible.
13 At length I came to the conclusion that I must either remain in
adarkness and confusion, or else I must do as James directs, that is, ask of God. I at length came to the determination to ask of God, concluding that if he gave wisdom to them that lacked wisdom, and would
bgive liberally, and not upbraid, I might venture.
14 So, in accordance with this, my determination to ask of God, I retired to the
awoods to make the attempt. It was on the morning of a
bbeautiful, clear day, early in the spring of eighteen hundred and twenty. It was the first time in my life that I had made such an attempt, for amidst all my anxieties I had never as yet made the attempt to
cpray dvocally.
15 After I had retired to the place where I had previously designed to go, having looked around me, and finding myself alone, I kneeled down and began to offer up the desires of my heart to God. I had scarcely done so, when immediately I was
aseized upon by
some power which entirely overcame me, and had such an astonishing influence over me as to bind my tongue so that I could not speak.
Thick bdarkness gathered around me, and it seemed to me for a time as if I were doomed to sudden destruction.
16 But, exerting all my powers to
acall upon God to deliver me out of the power of this enemy which had seized upon me, and at the very moment when I was ready to sink into
bdespair and abandon myself to destructionnot to an imaginary ruin, but to the power of some actual being from the unseen world, who had such marvelous power as I had never before felt in any beingjust at this moment of great alarm, I saw a pillar of
clight exactly over my head, above the brightness of the
dsun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me.
17 It no sooner appeared than I found myself
adelivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I
bsaw two
cPersonages, whose brightness and
dglory defy all description,
estanding above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other
This is My fBeloved gSon. Hear Him!
18 My object in going to
ainquire of the Lord was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join. No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that
all were wrong)and which I should join.
19 I was answered that I must join none of them, for
they were all awrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that
those bprofessors were all ccorrupt; that: they
ddraw near to me with their lips, but their
ehearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the
fcommandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the
gpower thereof.
20 He again forbade me to join with any of them; and many other things did he say unto me, which I cannot write at this time. When I came to myself again, I found myself
alying on my back, looking up into heaven. When the light had departed, I had no strength; but soon recovering in some degree, I went home. And as I leaned up to the fireplace,
bmother inquired what the matter was. I replied, Never mind, all is wellI am well enough off. I then said to my mother, I have learned for myself that Presbyterianism is not true.

You just outed yourself, face:
"You hate Mormons (for whatever reason, I dont know) and anything that will enforce that hatred is good."
Monkey Face With that chilish whine, you no longer have the benefit of the doubt that you might be objective. You're a whining mormonism apologist, and your ardent defense of Mormonism now shows you will embrace falsehood so long as it deflects from your religion's cultish beliefs. You call freepers liars who have merely stated facts. THAT is typical blind moronism apologetics as we've come to know it on Freerepublic.
Now, for others reading this thread, Glenn Beck must hvae very high credibility in order to continue to do what he's doing. When he exposes the lying marxists ruling this nation presently, he must be credible to retain belief on such incredible points.
When Glenn spends nearly half of one of his shows presenting something that has been proven false, that must be addressed and corrected ... by him! He won't correct the record until it is shown to him that he's in grave error. He has staff who read threads at FR. I know this for a fact.
The gross errors he presented as facts on the 8/18 program open him up for dismissal when his presentation is shown to be fiction. You want that to be ignored by those of us who support him? Pffffft FAIL
Is Glenn right that the Marxists are in the process of aborting the We The People Republic? ABSOLUTELY. How do we help him get the truth out if we ignore it when he is in gross error?
It happens that this error is related to fiction asserted by LDS inc, but the correction would be in order no matter where the fiction arises. Would you agree to that? If not, then you want to build an edifice upon sand, and it will not stand when the storms hit.

Jesus loves you regardless of your hatred for those who follow Him in other faiths. Remember: Other sheep I have who are not of this fold. Those also I must bring....
I have to respond to this as you have clearly taken this verse out of context to somehow claim Jesus is saying there’s validity in other faiths besides Christianity if they have a version of Christ in them.
That is totally false.
This bible verse is Jesus telling his disciples the “other sheep” are GENTILES (ie everyone else outside of the Jews of that time, the OT ‘chosen people’). It is the same kind of allegory to the branches of other trees being grafted into the olive tree of Israel. It has NOTHING to do about people ‘following Christ in another faith’. By definition if they are in another faith they are not Christians.
