Delusional worlds of hate fall apart and crumble whenever you try to pit a conservative man against a conservative woman whom are both working toward the same goal and not competing with one another, but tiny brains can’t figure that out.

I'm still in shock that Rove doesn't shut up and apologize. What a twit he is over this.

Sarah's interview today might give him some new thoughts on this.......bless his heart........

Rove seemed especially upset that someone (implied O’Donnell) had said that Castle had had a homosexual affair. ...a little too touchy.

“Bless his/her heart” is a real sweet way of putting down someone because it truly means the opposite (ie, he/she is an idiot)-

used by GRITS (girls raised in the south)- but it has spread beyond regional use

I believe almost all women “get it” that “Bless His Heart” means “He is an idiot and we are smiling as we insult him"

Yes and Sean said that she never said that.
Rove was way out of line and very snippy about that gay part. Har.

Over the years – when, to steal a line from Billy Joel, I wore a younger man’s clothes – I was involved with several pretty solid conservative candidates for Congress. One was a Democrat (Lawrence Patton McDonald) – because that was the only way he could win in that district. Those old-timers who know Larry’s record will tell you that he was a solid an anti-communist America Firster and more Republican than the pubbies in nearby districts at the time. (His mother’s cousin was General George Patton from whom he got the middle name – and his incredible resolve and love of this country.)

Those other candidates ran as Republicans. Because I was a rabid Bircher back then (still am philosophically!), those candidates had to pass my rigid litmus test or I went looking for someone who did. For that reason, I hooked up with what the TRADITIONAL country club pubbie establishment types believed were too radical for their refined tastes.

As those campaigns began to unfold and it became clear to the country clubbers that these guys 1) had a shot and 2) were pretty independent thinkers who would be hard to keep on the reservation once they got sworn in, the local pubbies communicated that information to the Republican National HQ types who rather quickly sent in campaign “professionals” ostensibly to lock up the impending victory.

Instead, in nearly every case to which I was privy, these “professionals” proceeded to TORPEDO our guy’s campaign in subtle but effective ways.

From that experience I can tell you that the pubbies at the HQ in D.C. would rather have a Democrat win a given district than have a pubbie up there who would embarrass them by refusing to follow the party line.

If YOU become involved in campaigns for solidly conservative, America and Constitution loving, hard-nosed, independent thinking candidates in 2010 and 2012 and beyond – and I pray many of you do — please DO NOT trust any of those folks from GOP HQ in Washington. If they suggest sending in one of their “professionals,” tell them to fuggetaboutit.

They ARE WHO GOT US INTO THIS MESS AND THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIEND!!!!

“The common and continual mischief of the spirit of Party is
sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to
discourage and restrain it.” G. Washington

Charles didn’t let up on the panel this evening either.
He all but said Sarah will be responsible for losing the Delaware seat if Christine doesn’t win, because Castle was a certain win.

Very interesting, and thank you. I've had some experience with 'campaign know it all's' and they were precisely like you described. "Play along to get along," and "temper that message." because "the candidate has to appeal to the maases". Nonsense!

Today on Brett's panel both Fred Barnes and Charles Krauthammer were still lamenting Castle's loss, but Charles more than Fred. You see, they both believe in Buckley Rule, rather than DeMint, who would rather have 40 Rubio's than 60 Castle's.

Sarah is too independent for the GOP machine and I have been sent a link to a DU posting that says s/he has a GOP/RNC insider friend claims that they're getting ready to take her down this fall.

FWIW: Just got a text from my RNC pal that they are going to take Palin down hard this fall

See what you think..... wishful thinking.....internet gossip..someone bragging...could be anything...

The neocons, Kraut, Kristol and Barnes, are fully out of the closet. There is a reason why Reagan never let this pack of vultures into power. They had to wait for Bush to slip in, but most used to be Dems and all of them were either card carrying establishment members or wannabes.

They are in the GOP strictly to obtain power. I don’t like their agenda, either domestically or in foreign policy. Unlike Reagan, they are too quick to resort to military force and irresolute in ending the wars they begin. Reagan never would have tolerated the loosey goosey rules of engagement that Bush and to an even greater extent Obama have used. And if Reagan used force, it would be the MacArthur rule. No substitute for victory and no 10 year wars or nation building.

They can try it just means Sarah needs a bigger trophy case.

The GOP in AK tried and that didn’t work. What makes these clowns think it will work this time.

I’m sure Sarah is prepared for this. This will give her even more influence than she already has.

Sarah has one thing they don’t and that’s WE THE PEOPLE.
