She should be in jail for causing the murder in LA by the Night Stalker by opening her big mouth to the media.

It may be that Fineswine held up the food safety Act, but I would not trust the fine print in a bill like that from the dem-o-rats. Who knows what lurks in there?

I respectfully disagree!

Inspections of the egg producers would have prevented it. More qualified inspectors, and encouragement for smaller, competing egg producers is also desirable.
Giving more power to any Government agency is quite simply another step towards tyranny and Communism. This must be avoided, and in the case of the EPA reversed.
I would dearly like to see the EPA, Energy and Education Departments abolished ASAP!

Bottom line, aren’t we told to fully cook eggs, ground beef and pork to kill bacteria?

I somehow doubt that more Federal involvement in, and control over, our food supply would benefit us or stop incidences of contamination.

I did not look into every aspect of this, but if DiFi did not rush to pass it, good for her.

Typically FedGov uses control in a Hegelian spiral of causing a problem, then acting like bystanders and offering more FedGov control to fix the problem they created.

it will allow the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to order a mandatory recall of foods that are suspected to be tainted. Currently, such recalls are voluntary by those within the food and beverage industry.

More government authoritie! More cowbell! Am I to understand that a half-billion eggs were recalled due to bacteria on their shells? Bird poop? Illegal immigrant worker sanitation issues?

Besides Boxer, Feinstein is the biggest waste of space ever plopped in a senator's chair. She is the West Coast's Chuck Schumer- only stupider and not quite as pretty. Where was the FDA when this virus infected the mayor's office in San Francisco?

Forget egg recalls, we need an agency to rid our government of spoiled rotten gang-green politicians eating away at our republic.

Anti-nuclear hysteria has also stopped the safe irradiation of poultry and ground beef which would effectively kill salmonella in these products.

... recall of foods that are suspected to be tainted.

First they "deemed" actions to have taken place in congress. Now, food "suspected" of being tainted will be destroyed.

Laws?? We don' need no steenkin' laws, man!
