Although entirely predictable, I sort of get the Faith Merit medal award winner. Barely, but sort of.
However, a baseball player as the second Hope Merit medal award winner is a complete mystery as to why and other than St. Louis Cardinal baseball fans, I sincerely doubt that no one really knows why he was selected for the award.
