So, are therefore telling me that when you were referring to “Mormons” in all your various posts here, that you actually just meant the off shoots of the LDS church? Can you possibly dig yourself any deeper?

But let’s just say you’re being intellectually honest in your comments (LOL). To lump all the factions of the church, which is a very minute number in comparison, would be akin to lumping all the “Christian” factions in w/ your faith. Therefore, if I were to lump the beliefs of Fred Phelps, A “Christian”, & ascribe those to your beliefs, that would be just & okay w/ you? You’re all “called” Christians right? BTW, you’re a Christian, so, you must accept the Pope as your leader right?

If you were referring to factions, you should have stated such. But you already know that, right?

I suspect everyone here knows what you were doing, it was quite transparent. Your excuses are laughable. Please stop burying yourself. Stop. Retreat for a bit. Reflect on what you’re really doing.

Have a great weekend

Reno,
You seem to be the only one who is taking things in the most extreme way possible. I wrote “mormons”. There are as many flavors of mormons as there are Baskin Robbins ice cream flavors.

These mormons follow the teaching of your second Prophet, Brigham Young. Do you no longer acknowledge Mr. Young was a “living prophet” of the mormon church? Either he was or he wasn’t. Those who follow the teachings of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young are mormons.

I never wrote anything other than mormons.

In fact, I wrote that tens of thousands of mormons believe what Brigham Young taught - that Adam was God the Father - and that other mormons believe it is some other guy who became God. Absolutely true, despite your histrionic protests.

You still miss the main point.

... Either way, both groups of mormons are Biblically wrong.
... God the Father was never a man or He could not be God.

As to the rest of your rant...

I have absolutely no idea if Fred Phelps is actually a Christian. Theologically, his group falls within Christianity, even though their actions do not. I don’t approve or know anything about them other than what appears in the news. If you would dearly like to consider him a Christian, have at it. It sounds as if you are very familiar with him. Christianity has many, many branches... just like your religion of mormonism. I consider the Pope to be the head of a Christian Church... but not my own church.

[What I wrote was absolutely correct, but you took it differently than I wrote it. Your problem. It was fun to watch you turn yourself inside out with mormonic apoplexy.]

As an aside, you mainstream mormons are so very judgmental toward other mormons... They too have the burning of the bosom. They too believe they have an unbroken succession from Smith. They too have the book of mormon. They just think your sect of mormonism it false and has abandoned the teachings of Smith.

So bottom line... tens of thousands of mormons believe God the Father used to be Adam. Other mormons believe the mormonic God the Father used to be some other guy.

Both remain heretically wrong.

best,
ampu
