At the end of the day, we believe some obscure trade union will be the end of this monument to Islamic Conquest. It will be something like the Pipefitters Local, which will vote to not work on the project, after it is successfully pressured by conservatives and patriotic Americans... and lobbied relentlessly by those of us out there who know someone murdered by Muslims on 9/11."
If I were a UA Local 1 brother, I'd be pretty offended after reading that paragraph.
My husband is union (don’t ask, it’s a huge fight) but he did give me some great ideas to use against them to keep them from building on this site.
His first idea is to get together with other interested groups and raise money to take a full page ad out in the NY Post, NY Times and USA Today calling out the unions and locals in Manhattan, demanding that they do not work on the project. We should include NYPD and NYFD Unions in that as well.
He says while it won’t make a bit of difference to union leadership who can be bought off with the Dems throwing money at them, it WILL make a huge difference to the Union members. If they say they will not work on the project that will make a huge difference.
His other idea was to target companies that plan on building in Manhattan and let them know if they build using the Unions that are working on the Mosque, we will immediately begin full boycotts, and nationwide protests against them. Since you can’t build anything in NY without a union, the companies will either have to put pressure on them to not work on the mosque or not build.
Basically, it’s time to get nasty....
