The October surprise: a political coup

Voting does not a coup make. Acting outside of the bounds of law so as to obtain power, now, that’s a coup. Only, sometimes, it is less obvious. Having to wait 2 (two) or 4 (four) years to legally vote out of office someone who according to the law, should never have been in; is too high a price to pay. Because the damage done by the kind of person who unlawfully insinuated himself or herself into office, could take generations to reverse.
Besides, all this glee at prospective purging does nothing to educate the public about how our political system works. It just makes us feel good, temporarily.
But nothing will change. Because we still haven’t insisted on enforcing the laws that were broken to install BO into office. So why should the next person even listen?
