Whoever is promoting billboards is getting rich off this misdirection. Even assuming anyone could compel a sitting President to come up with any document; BO could produce a birth document that purports to provide the information this billboard campaign obliquely demands. Now what? No; the real push should be for anyone who swore to state election officials he was eligible to get his name on the ballot, to produce the document that was the basis for that certification. It would be much easier to pressure any of these people - for example, Nancy Pelosi or especially Boyd Richie, who is only a state party chair - to tell us what they used. But this would put an end to the whole industry that has sprouted around 'getting the President to produce a birth certificate.' Including the pilgrimages to D.C. instead of the steps of city halls. More sleight of hand.
