If the Army Guard is anything like the AF Guard, you have to wait for someone to die or retire to get a promotion. I knew a 40 year old SRA (E-4). That's why I went Reserves after my 4 year Active Duty stint.

That's why I went Reserves after my 4 year Active Duty stint. /johnny i know what you are saying, but a little thing called deployments has taken a toll on that. i was a spc for 7 years then the deployments came around 2003 I have jumped 2 ranks, heck I would be a 7 by now if i could get a BNCOC class.
