Now calm down, it’s not that complicated.
It’s called ‘social pressure’ — stemming from an informed public it can be a powerful tool for good.
Of course, the converse is true of an uninformed public.
Never underestimate social pressure nor “the power of the pen” — as they say.
Some of us believe that the truth is a good thing and that evil shuns the light.
The exposing of evil is half the battle and we all have a part to play.
I have faith in the American people to do what is good and right — provided they are so informed.
... Of course, I could be wrong.
The decision — how we react to the penumbra that has been cast across our great nation — is up to each of us individually.
We could discuss the nature of evil but that would belong on a philosophy thread.

OK. That is a sincere answer. I believe it is greatly Utopian. I believe that historically it has never occurred. And I believe that putting our fate in an "informed" electorate when no such body exists in practice is akin to suicide. But I do get it. I know exactly where you are. You once slept, you are now awake and desire to wake others that they may join you in the call to action. I do know that theory. I submit it is utter fantasy and that reason, history and direct knowledge will show you that the majority always sleeps and the remnant alone wakes.
