It seems like the quality dial was all the way up in the late 80'-early 90's, I'm seeing many of those models in great condition tooling around.

Either that or there's many like me who love our old rides and enjoy thumbin' the ""buy new throw away crowd.""

I put another engine from Japan in my 88 Camry (from a newer Rav4 that still uses the 3SFE engine in Japan) two years ago. It still uses no oil between changes and is a quiet ride with no rattles.....
