George Orwell wrote about Stalinism. Stalinists in the USSR as well as Stalinists living in the US and UK. Stalinists who would tell baldfaced lies and deny the horrors of Stalinism.

It is a misnomer to call things “Orwellian”. He merely pointed out in a fictional setting things that were already reality. Call them Stalinist.

Eric Arthur Blair or George Orwell spoke about the processes which lead to Stalinism, which are attempts to influence thought by influencing the expressiveness of language, i.e. propaganda, redefination, revisionism and lies.

It is a misnomer to call the ideas of such a great work by the condition that he was reporting on and describing.

Therefore it is a misnomer to call that which is Orwellian Stalinism!

But you have my warmest regards and good health to you.
