“Blacklisted by History”.. Looks like an interesting book. Glenn Beck said that the author researched McCarthyism to prove his grandmother wrong for her believing McCarthy was right. His research revealed she was indeed right. That’s a story in itself.

Ann Coulter had a book out about McCarthy, can’t remember the title. It was very enlightening.

Anyone who read Ann Coulter’s book, “Slander” (or was it in “Treason”?) would know the true story about McCarthy.

In the mind of the liberal, Senator McCarthy was a deranged conservative finding imaginary communists under every rock and creating the fiction of the Red Menace.

They claim (A) that there was no threat posed by the Soviet Union to the United States (B) that there were no Americans who held loyalties to Joseph Stalin and the Soviet Union during the Cold War and (C) that Americans did not knowingly conspire with the Soviets to work against the American way of life and (D) that Uncle Joe Stalin was not a bad man.

Scratch a little deeper and they will say "so what" that there were Communists in the United States, they considered it "dissent" (even though it was in a time of hostile war). Even though it was TREASONOUS to ally with an enemy of the United States to seditiously overthrow the government.

The Crucible predated Joe McCarthy. It was "McCarthyism" before it had that name. They were still called witchhunts. Funny thing, there WERE witches in The Crucible (a woman who got some of the girls to dance naked in the woods). The big thing is we are told that we should not trust the words of those who are guilty of such crimes when they indict other people. And THIS is "classic" literature?

Beck has a team of people doing the research ... otherwise there is no way he could/can come up with all these exposures of bad ideas that has happened in history of America and othere nations.

I appreciate his efforts. It is up to us to check out the details and not to attack the messager. MO

Go Glenn Beck! He is almost alone in his telling the American public about the evil plans that are on going and have been for 60 years or more.

Thank You, Glen Beck.

Read History. It is not a pretty story It is filled with lies, intrigue, treachery, blatant, intentions to kill vast numbers of people.

Lenin did, Stalin did. Hitler did. Many before them did also.

McCarthy was right. The US government did have a lot of communists spies in it during the 40’s.

At the same time as the McCarthy hearings Joe Stalin began his doctor’s plot purge that was specifically aimed at Jews.

What the left did was impute the the Soviet style show trials —as a porologue to a holocaust/purge—to McCarthy.

It wasn’t true but this blood libel stuck.

The details have long since been forgotten.

The liberals cannot identify one single person Sen. McCarthy publicly stated was a national security who didn’t prove to be a national security risk.

M. Stanton Evan’s, book, Blacklisted by History, is the definitive work on this subject and I encourage everyone to read it.

McCarthy will be vindicated by history. But there will always be diehards on the Left who will maintain that Communist agents such as the Rosenbergs, Alger Hiss, and Harry Dexter White were innocent.

THE TRUE HEROES IN THIS STRUGGLE WERE JOE MCCARTHY, WHITTAKER CHAMBERS, AND RICHAR NIXON.

If McCarthy had stuck to the issue of real Communist agents in the State Department, and left the U.S. Army alone, history might have treated him very differently.

I was proud of Beck last night, when he presented “Blacklisted by History” and its author on his program.

Beck has taken potshots at McCarthy a number of times, even just a few days ago, so it surprised me to see his turn-around. After the last time he shot off his mouth about McCarthy I sent him a note about it, and said just remember two words: “Venona Papers”. So it surprised me to see him start talking about the Venona papers a few minutes into the program. I’m sure it had nothing to do with my note, this program had to have been planned for quite a while now, and out of several thousand emails a day, mine probably didn’t get read. But there must have been a bunch of others like me writing in on the same subject.

Anyway, there remains a lot more to be said about McCarthy but Beck made a good start. Who else on TV would have dared? Coulter, and now Beck.

Beck is learning on TV. It’s fun to watch, and I’m not making fun of him at all (we all are learning incredible things in the last few years). The internet has taken the veil off the woman, the curtain from around the wizard. They can’t hide the truth anymore or control how many know the truth. You can’t catch up on all the propaganda and lies all at once . . . too many years, too many lies.

McCarthy was right, what's to be ashamed of?

The democratic party WAS infiltrated by communist sympathizers, and still is to this day.

McCarthy, as I show in "48 Liberal Lies" and as Stanton Evans does in much greater detail in "Blacklisted by History," was RIGHT.

Virtually all those he named were, in fact, commie agents.

Would someone please post a complete copy of the actual minutes (in PDF) taken by Secretary Of State Edward Stettinius, Jr. of the Yalta Conference that was held February 4, 1945 through February 11, 1945 ? Apparently, there is a heavily edited and redacted version floating around, that would definitely not help.

On the Glenn Beck program from Thursday June 24, 2010, guest and author of the book, 'Blacklisted by History', M. Stanton Evans.

In the minutes recorded by Secretary of State Edward Stettinius, Jr. FDR is quoted as actually saying that FDR is willing to turn over America's six million Jews. This would be a vital document that must be preserved and is in Secretary of State Edward Stettinius, Jr. actual minutes.

I remember Beck’s ignorant digs at that uber patriot, Joe McCarthy. Beck has been reading history now for just a very few short years. He has much to learn.

Woohoo! Call me tickled pink by this thread, FReepers, and Glenn Beck.

It’s happened a few times now that just when I have given up on Beck for something, he comes blazing back with a home run.

We’re looking at the past with all of this, but remember, we’re looking there so that we better understand what the communists are still doing to us today.

They will never give up, and we must never give up fighting them.

They win when we let them, period.
