>I think it was on Kook to Kook AM that they had some “expert”
suggesting many nightmare scenarios, including a HUGE gas bubble under the sea bed, as well as numerous fissures that
might open up, due to the relief well drilling, unleashing billions of barrels of oil that could flow for MANY years.

To say that this situation is under control may be quite premature.<

Your right. I don;t think that they want to panic anyone. But I have read trade articles that say that if there is as much pressure as they say there that relief drilling could actually cause the dome over the oil to drop after a major blow of oil. They speculated that it *could* cause a tsunami.

Meanwhile our emperor is eating ice cream ....

Man the speculation is getting totally out of hand....

Someone on the Oil Drum is saying that the pay zone is only 60 feet....

Lot's of other reservoirs in the GOM are 300 to 400 feet....

Amount of Oil and Gas is directly related to the depth of the payzone....

No Bedrock over it either....

So far this is not a high pressure well....

Try the 30k+ deep gas well in the anadarko basin of Oklahoma with pressures of 28K+.
