Do you remember the Eighties or were you even born yet.

People were out of Work.

Most Industries took major reductions.

Good Training Doesn’t do you any good if the Jobs are not there.

I was a serving officer in the US Army during the 1980s.
So, yes, I both remember them and was even born then.

Not having the jobs is completely different from not having good training.

Try to think it through next time.

I spent six months trying to get into the Navy Aviation program in 1982. When I finally failed the flight physical for the last time, I tried to get ANY other officer slot. The wait was 18 months minimum. And the graduate school grads were filling up the spots faster than they could open them.

The early eighties sucked.
