I haven’t written the birther cause off completely, but I think that to start with “He wasn’t born in Hawaii” detracts from the other NBC arguments.

Suppose it’s true? There is not earthly reason why it detracts.

Unless of course you want his actual citizenship status to remain hidden.

I tend to agree. But if he wasn't, and wasn't born elsewhere in the US, then he's not even a citizen, unless he was later naturalized. Either way, he'd not be eligible. It's harder for Joe and Josephine Sixpack to understand the "not natural born because of having a non citizen father". After all that takes some research into historical sources. Court decisions based on Vattel, rather than English common law. Old referances to "natural born child of citizens", etc take a bit of work to comprehend. Might miss "American Idol" while doing all that reserach and reading.

Still J&J Sixpack seem to be beginning to understand that "The Won" is not like any other America President. Next they'll start to wonder why.
