Yesterday there was deafening silence from the White House as Obama and the White House web site had nothing to say about the Longest Day.

This is my Dad's boat, LCT-457, Febrary 1944. That's probably him standing in front. Looks like they're doing a VIP tour.

He was in Flotilla 4, Tare Green Sector, Utah Beach. Had an Army engineering company with bulldozers and TNT.
