I cannot find an e-mail for either man on the mlb.com site, so I will try this.

They aren’t going to change the call but it will be viewed and replayed so many times that few will ever deny that it was actually a perfect game.

Just saw the replay as I am watching my beloved NYY...
He was out by a step...that is just wrong.

In the post game the umpire admitted he blew the call, and cost the kid a perfect game.

The umpire is going to need very good security.
The you tube video of the last play already had a number of death threats toward the umpire.

I found out about it through your post, and after reviewing the tape, I agree with you.

One of the worst calls I’ve ever seen. He was not just out, he was out by a mile.

You honestly think the Commissioner of Baseball reads FR??????????
To: Museum Twenty
If I read the schedule correctly, they’ll be there again tomorrow afternoon.

Baseball sucks, too slow.
Football is the new American pastime.

Its all a matter of personal preference. I personally like baseball better than football.
In fact I eve like hockey more than football.
To: whence911
Yeah, and Jim Joyce (the umpire in question) is calling balls and strikes tomorrow. Oughta be a good time at the old ballyard.

It was actually better than a perfect game. Galarraga got 28 guys out in a row — the first time anyone ever legitimately got more than 27 out without anyone reaching base. You could make an argument, on this basis, that this was the best single-game pitching performance in MLB history.
