The last thing I saw from the ROV feed was the big yellow crimping arm slowly retreating into the darkness and distance...then the oil gusher coming into view from underneath...then a whole lot of nothing...then they cut the feed. Which meant after the crimping arm had that pipe in its grip for two hours off and on, they opened it and pulled it off, and then pulled the camera ROV back to the surface. So something either went wrong, or they thought it was going to go wrong.

So that means that the cut part never happened from what you’re describing. They were saying that after the cut, it would gush out even faster so if this didn’t work we would be worse off. If they don’t think it’s going to work, maybe its best that they don’t try it...
