Because the left is both secular/atheistic and immature (developmentally challenged), they lack the tools for both forgiving others and for accepting responsibility for problems (and self forgiveness).

Consequently, they build up a lot of anger and frustration. Their lack of general civility (due to a perpetual adolescence) doesn't prevent them venting it irrationally at anyone they perceives as different or more mature.
