Bush got skewered by the press for Katrina because he was a Repulbican and the press hated him. The real screw ups were by the Democrat Governor of Louisiana and the Democrat Mayor of New Orleans.
Since there is no Republican politician to attack in this scenario, BP will catch all the heat. Obama will be declared a hero.
