It means that the Russian ATC drove that plane into the ground.

It was an accident by design... The F BNK on the approach end obscured the pilot’s view of the Runway and ATC let the plane break off the glide slope into the F BNK that was in the valley on the approach of 26.

The Russians are not giving the actual recordings to the Polish government, they are giving transcripts.

Exactly, except for the fog bank that was on the approach end.

I have seen this BS take place before with arcrft mishaps.

However, given it is the Russians, it was no accident.

Russian ATC drove he plane into the ground? What a load! The pilot was at the controls, not ATC. Get a grip.

The ATC was in control, it was on instruments with glide slope and ATC calling out the shots.

With no visibility, the pilot was at the mercy of instruments and ATC. Other threads have posted photos of a Russian comms truck of some sort set up on the approach end of the runway, as well, fueling the notion that a false glide slope could have been generated. Think back to the movie DIE HARD 2 and you have the general idea.

Here is how it went down.

ATC called out a bogus visibilty, pilot makes one approach and ATC then states to the pilot we “suggest you make a second approach” on the glide slope.

Second attempt on approach was what got them killed.

Bullshit. ATC doesn’t call the shots. The pilot could go around. ATC only advises.

There was no “glideslope”. From what I’ve read the approach at that airfield was an NDB, not an ILS.

I say next time Putin goes somewhere, use some hocus pokus to drive his plane into the ground and call it even.

Like I said ATC calls the shots and they suggested that the pilot make another approach... They directed that aircraft to the ground...

Read again they drove that plane into the ground...

Exactly, except for the fog bank that was on the approach end.

Then I'd land from the other end and damn the ATC :-)

Look, for your little conspiracy theory to have any legs it has to be believable. Riddle me this riddler. How could the Russians know the weather would be bad enough on that particular day to lure the pilot to his death? Suppose it had been clear and a million? Then all their elaborate plans wouldn’t work because the pilot could just land visually. Sems to me if you want to off a head of state that might be a major hole in your plan. Just sayin’.

“However, given it is the Russians, it was no accident.”

Neither were the guys walking around shooting the survivors.
