I haven't spent the money or time to search for evidence that they were married in Kenya. I think that is the logical analysis--the legend became married in Hawaii because they wanted to erase her presence in Kenya before the birth but that is the logic of where she was and where they were married. If I had the money and capacity to look, I would find evidence that is where they were married.

Stanley Ann and zero went to Kenya in 1982-3 shortly after the old man died. That's when Kezia meant 'she was like a sister to me' that 1982/83 visit was never reported in the US press, but it IS reported in Kenya.

Another high school classmate, Maxine Box, recalls visiting with Stanley Ann Dunham and her new born baby a week or two later, in early September 1961. I remember it was a sunny day, and I visited Stanley at the house of the friend she was staying with on Mercer Island. We talked for about an hour, mostly about her new baby, Barack Obama Junior. I recall that she said she was on her way to join her husband, but I don?t recall where that was. We didn?t talk much about her husband or her plans, we talked mostly about the baby. Like most of my friends, I was shocked at the turn of events. Stanley Ann was only a year out of high school and was already married with a child. I never thought that she was someone who wanted to get married. She was always someone who seemed focus on getting an education.
Seattle Times journalist Jonathan Martin reports that some high school classmates recall visiting her and her young son alternately at the Laurelhurst student housing, then at a Capitol Hill apartment during the period that stretched from March 1962 to at least September 1962.
In March, 1962, Stanley Ann Dunham enrolled as a full time student at the University of Washington for the spring quarter, which continued until June, 1962, earning 10 credit hours that quarter. She also rented her own apartment.
Another class mate, Barbara Cannon Rusk, recalls visiting Stanley Ann Dunham and her baby son Barack at her apartment on Capitol Hill in Seattle shortly after the end of these spring quarter classes. (1962).
(None of those stories make sense, it's all hear-say, Barack Hussein Obama left Hawaii on the 22nd June, 1962, supposedly commenced at Harvard in September, but there's nothing from Harvard to show he was ever there...and the divorce papers were returned marked RETURN TO SENDER)
And in 1959--Stanley Ann was in Chicago? She was still in high school at Mercer Island?
So we are asked to believe...but in 'Dreams' she's quoted as saying 'I was only sixteen then' and if she was born in 1942, that places her in Chicago in 1958.
There is an official HI record of an Obama Dunham marriage.
Okubo unexpectedly revealed an HI marriage record index showing BHO as groom and Stanley Ann Dunham as the bride.
Okubo was responding to a request for all index records with the name Barack Hussein Obama and this turned up both the index for BHO IIs birth (the original intent of the request) but also inadvertently also turned up the marriage index for his father of same name as groom and showing Stanley Ann as the bride.
