the reality is he has as much chance to be nominee as does 1% Duncan Hunter.
Eh, I’m not so sure. I completely understand the sentiment, I just think Herman really fires people up. If there would ever be a grass roots contender in our age of Party Establishment candidates (see: McCain), I think it might be Herman Cain.
As I said, I’ve been extremely cynical about political races... I campaigned for Lindsey Graham in his first Senate race, and you see how that turned out. But Herman is different. He inspires, but he’s the real thing. Obama inspired the skulls of mush, but he was play acting. Herman does it, and it comes from within. I think people want someone genuine now, and Cain could be that for them.
He’s also been doing a very nice job of getting his name out there strategically... Hannity, other Fox programs, locally. He’ll have the waters sufficiently tested before he chooses to run or not to run.
I disagree. All Herman needs is more national exposure. He will do the rest.
I’ve heard all the other “contenders” speak, they just don’t inspire. I think it takes more than just being a solid conservative, you have to be able to SELL it
Here’s what I see conservatives:
Those who are conservative but aren’t great at selling it (the majority)
Those who can sell it but aren’t conservative (i.e., Romney)
Those who can do both - Cain and Palin can do both. Maybe Bachman
