Cap And Trade Legislation – A License To Print Money (For Governments)

Just because Cap and Trade Legislation has gone quiet all of a sudden since Copenhagen failed so miserably, don't be fooled that it might be off the agenda. The old adage applies about not coming between a politician and a bucket of money, and Cap and Trade is such an immensely huge bucket of money, politicians will do everything they can in an effort to get it passed. It's started again in Australia where it has already stalled twice, and this time the proposal is to place a flat cost on all CO2 emissions, that cost rising each year. What politicians fail so miserably to do is to check their facts first before hungrily eying off that attractive gold mine. They will spin that it's all for the sake of the environment, but that's not the truth at all. It's just about money.
