Big deal. Probably half of Kenya believes Barack Obama was born there. And I'm sure half of Australia thinks Nicole Kidman was born in that country as well.
Better yet: Mel Gibson. Born in Peekskill, New York in 1956, the internet is awash with references to Gibson being "Australian-born." Publications as large as People Magazine have claimed Gibson was born in Australia.
So naturally, the most logical explanation for this popular confusion is that Mel was secretly born in Australia, and his family has been engaged in a five-decade-long cover-up intended to hide his true Australian birth.
