Please spread this “activism” suggestion to everyone you know. Too little effort is being made to “dissuade” the often “regretful idiots” to reduce their influence on the elections. This “soft-sell” reverse activity can help almost as much as promoting our favorite candidates.
It’s a Neighborhood/Community Organizer type of action that can be very effective. And if handled right NOT confrontational just a commiseration. You do not need to even know the people with whom you start the chats.
Conversations in Supermarkets, school children pick-ups or similar places or any other places you meet strangers can be started “innocuously” with “gosh life is hard these days” (sigh) and then “hoping that those who voted for Obama, will not make the same mistake this time around”.
Even if you have to pretend you are one of those who did vote for him and look “sadly” at what happened to you and your family.
Restrain heavy politics, no intense attack on the White house. Push their regret emotion so many will have found, NOT anti-administration rhetoric or accusations against the chat companion that will meet defensive reaction. Get the idea?
“Poor me, poor us”! This is a “psy-ops” approach that if all of us expand and develop with our individual, we can leave a strong effect and weaken those who voted for hoe and change but now have doubts - for our fairly simple effort.
Please DO NOT promote your favorite candidate!!!!
If asked for whom they should vote, try “why not give the Republicans a try - they cannot be any worse. Maybe because their own families are suffering and they are apparently not the ones asking for all the free stuff they will do it better”.
