Plane Stolen from Military Hanger

Security Minister, Oscar Alvarez, said the theft of a small airplane was reported around 3 a.m. this morning.
Allegedly, five gunmen men attacked three guards at the entrance gate to the Armando Escalón military base in San Pedro Sula. The men entered a military hanger, started the engine of a small airplane which authorities had seized last year in an anti-drug raid, and flew off.

A Somali man suspected of having ties to terrorist groups pleaded guilty
Tuesday to two counts of making false statements on an application for U.S.
asylum, but chose to go to trial on a third charge in San Antonio.
Ahmed Muhammed Dhakane entered the guilty plea at a hearing set for
pre-trial motions.
Dhakane, 24, has been in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs
Enforcement since entering the country through Brownsville in March 2008 and
saying he wanted to seek asylum. He applied for asylum while in custody in
October 2008.
