A protest at the Latham Target store has shut it down for an “undetermined period of time,” according to officials at the Latham Police Dept.
The protest began at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday in the front of the store when about 100 protester who object to the stores logo attempted to block people from entering the store.
The group that calls itself The Alliance to Stop Gun Violence in Latham says the stores logo promotes gun violence. The group hopes its movement will be taken up nationwide.
The manager at the store said he did not know how long it would take the corporate offices to respond but that he had directed employees from the bedding departmet to use blankets to temporarily cover the stores logo.
There were no injuries. Protestors allowed customers to enter the store after the logo had been covered up.
(Before this story goes any further...this is a spoof.)
It’s SO hard to tell if something is satire anymore.
That’s why I thought I ought to put the notice.
(Must be one of them Alinski things the left uses.)
I used to work helping an engineering team make maps with transparant overlays for filing cellular tower applications with the FCC. Before we switched to digital mapping with computers and GIS software, we’d use plotter printed vellum overlayed on various scales of USGS maps.
We used the “crosshair” symbol as a marker for existing and proposed cell towers.
I do not like Bob Beckel.......Fox should fire him.........
Wouldn’t it be great if for once Michael Steele could take the attack dog role that Democrat Party chairs take and get out all over the media, demanding apologies for the wrongly smeared tea party and Palin?
Oh, wait—he’s busy defending the party’s questionable expenditures under his watch. Never mind.
Yup, they took the bait: hook, line and sinker!

Scroll down on the right side for “principle point” map symbol...

Sorry...that should be spelled “principal point”.
Although the MSM in the US seems to has silenced down once it turned out that the shooter in Arizona turned out not to be tied to the Tea Party, but instead appears to be a left wing anarcho psychotic. Psychotic being the operative word here.
However, not so the MSM in Europe. It is an anti-tea party, anti-Palin hate fest over here now. So much so that it appears that the foremerly readable The Daily Telegraph has got involved in some "tricks".
Comapare these two pics; the first one in this piece from the DT:
Gabrielle Gifford's father: The whole Tea Party were her enemies.
and this one from Sarah Palin's Facebook Page:
In short, he demonstrates that he is every thing other than a right wing Republican, and that its high time we start looking at homosexuals like Loughner, Pfc. Bradley Manning, and Barney Frank as threats to public safety and national security.
Incredible. They seem to have modified the markers to make them look more like rife scopes. Is it possible that that version of the graphic appears on another part of Palin’s website? If not, that is a stunning example of a news organization tampering with the facts.
Definitely a man to hang onto just about every one of Sarah Palin’s tweets and Facebook posts. /s
There are certainly more than the usual amount of leftists with egg on their faces today, but then they don’t seem to mind.
It doesn’t matter. No one knows what a surveyor mark is, everyone know what crosshairs look like, and whoever made that image knew what the perception of those icons would be: targets. It doesn’t mean they were inciting any violence, but don’t run around saying that the image is something else based on a technicality.

Thus, it is not directly linked form the Facebook page but stored in DT multimedia archive.
The image looks like this. I know what I think.....
