It’s a misnomer to say the republic has died, as long as elections are free.
It’s still a republic. It’s just shifting from a capitalist republic to a socialist republic.
But if Obama takes over healthcare (17% of the economy), the auto industry (10% of the economy) and banking (6% of the economy). With government control of 33% of the economy, how much longer will elections be free?
We better nip this in the bud in October or this might be the republic’s fatal wound.
